SOUTH SUDAN
In 2007, God gave Pastor Stephen Mathiang a vision for a ministry that would impact South Sudan for Christ, and the Mission Gardens of Christ (MGC) was born. The vision of the MGC is to make disciples of Jesus throughout war-torn South Sudan and beyond. A holistic ministry, MGC ministers operates in the areas of mission, education, peace-building and reconciliation, relief, health, and agriculture.
The focus of MGC is equipping pastors and church leaders through training conferences, sharing the gospel, planting churches, vocational training, and providing a home for abandoned street children.
MGC has a primary school that educates over 600 children and plans to establish a secondary school in the near future. Additionally, the Olive Branch Institute is an initiative of MGC aimed at training others in peace and reconciliation. Pastors receive ongoing equipping through seminars and conferences. In 2021 MGC is launching a one-year formal biblical studies training for church leaders.
Current Needs:
More than 700 children are receiving a Christ-centered education who otherwise would not because of the devastation of war. You can sponsor a child for $250 per year.
The School Classrooms are in dire need of renovation. A gift of $2,500 will renovate one of our 10 classrooms in need.
MGC gathers over 100 pastors six times a year for training and encouragement. Your gift of $20 will fund a pastor’s training. $2,000 will cover an entire event.
Help a pastor with transport! A gift of $150 will purchase a bicycle for a pastor.
Street children find refuge at our Children’s Home. $2,400 covers the care, food, clothing, and education of an orphan for a year.
Sponsorship in action: Malek Leper Community
Serving like Jesus, building hope, transforming lives

Through the generous donations of sponsors, the community can worship in their newly constructed church building that includes new chairs.
Childcare Home - Orphan children and caregivers for the Bor Mission Gardens of Christ orphanage. Sponsorship of $2,400 provides, food, clothing, shelter and education for a child for one year.
Tailoring School graduates trained at the MGC campus proudly display their certificates of completion. They made their own gowns for the graduation ceremony. Sponsorships per student is $300. Purchase of a sewing machine is $450 or sponsor a full program with two teachers for $2,900.
Pastors arrive at MGC to enter the raffle to win a new bike. The bikes are instrumental in helping the pastors travel to nearby villages to offer prayer and support. Sponsorship of a bicycle is $150 per bike.

MGC is seeking funds to purchase a farm tractor to be used to farm the land in the MGC compound and also be rented by nearby villages for agricultural farming. The tractor will provide sustainable food sources as well as economic growth.
Over 100 exotic trees including mango trees were planted on the land pictured below on the MGC property. Staff and families were provided portions of land to cultivate crops to feed their families.
The cost of a used farming tractor is $45,000. Donations of any size are welcome to support this agricultural project.
